Orchard

There is a church orchard about 15 minutes from St. George. In church they announced that anyone could go and pick the fruit for three days because it was ripening to fast and it wouldn't be as good for canning. So Justin and I decided to take advantage of the opportunity. The limit was 100 pounds per family. So we got five grocery sacks full. When we brought it home we didn't realize how much that really was. Our kitchen was covered in apricots everywhere. With only half of our apricots we were able to make 49 jars of apricot pineapple jam! The rest was made into fruit leather or dried. We had alot of fun and enjoyed learning some new skills.
